We would love to share with you the Balmoral family portraits of James, Katrina and their boys. James and Katrina weren’t engaged when I first met Katrina but I certainly remember the happy way she talked of him. Then James popped the question and they married in the Southern Highlands.
Theirs was a beautiful wedding and it was an opportunity to put my skills as a licensed driver to the test due to the unavailability of the allocated bridal car driver. So I popped into the driver’s seat and delivered Katrina and her Dad safely to the church on time…
A little later I can remember keeping an appointment with Katrina one morning after I’d dropped Sarah off at the hospital a few hours prior to the birth of one of ours (and yes, of course I was back at the hospital in time for all the hard work!!!).
They headed to New York for work, where they continue to live, and from where James occassionally writes an email to announce the birth of a beautiful baby boy. Occasionally they pop back to Australia to see their families (including James’s sister and her family, as seen below) and take delight in the summer setting of Sydney.
We’ve been really fortunate to meet up with them on a few of these returns to do a shoot or two and see their expanding family. I feel like there has been a little history to knowing them and hope we see much more of them through the years. This was a Balmoral Beach Family Portrait session.
