As I look back through the images I’m struck by the sheer happiness, the laughter of everyone, and the delight that was Cameron and Shannon’s Bella Vista Farm wedding day. It was another beautiful spring wedding day in Sydney with one of the calmest, reddest sunsets I’ve had at a wedding (the colours had to be toned down!).
Shannon’s amazing Bridal car showed up as she was finishing getting ready with her Mum and bridesmaids and she was very audibly excited when it pulled into the drive. But then who doesn’t get excited about a beautiful blue Chev?
Bella Vista Farm was the venue for the ceremony. It remains an oasis of rural idyll.
One of my favourite moments at a wedding is the immediate moment straight after the ceremony when the bride and groom are “introduced” as “Mr and Mrs” for the very first time. I love watching the reactions from family and friends, seeing the happiness of parents and siblings, the hugs, the whispered messages of love and congratulations, the occasional tear, the great feeling of happiness and also the sense of relief, “Finally”, “We’ve made it. We’re married”. It’s the essence of time, hope and wistfulness condensed into that five or ten minutes. Years of a relationship, months of planning, and a week of nerves are all released at the end of the ceremony and it’s a real privilege to witness.
Congratulations Cameron and Shannon.
Thanks for looking.
If you’re taking the plunge into marriage and would love beautiful photography (and we’d love another Bella Vista Farm wedding) then it’s time to talk to Sarah or myself. We take compelling, elegant and timeless stills. We capture the most valuable images in the world. Yours.
