Brendan and Hannah are well underway planning their December wedding in the Hunter Valley and took some time out for a Breakfast Point engagement session. We knew even before they were officially engaged that we would be heading back to the vineyards, as we had had a lovely email from Hannah asking if we were free on a certain date as they were planning a wedding, but could we keep ‘mum’ as nothing was official yet.
A couple of weeks went by with us keeping a close eye on Facebook for that all-important change of status from “in a relationship” to “engaged”. Hannah sent a very excited email – the news arrived before the Facebook update – exclaiming “Book it in! We’re engaged! Can we come and meet with you”. Of course!
It’s always lovely to sit with newly engaged couples and hear them talk about how the actual proposal went (in this case with Brendan putting out false stories of how it actually happened, much to Hannah’s amusement), and hear of all the plans they have for the big day (we keep secrets very well, by the way. We’re often informed of surprises and moments that are expected to happen throughout a wedding day. Keeping us in the loop helps to make sure that moment is captured!).
David met Brendan and Hannah for their Breakfast Point engagement photos near Sydney Harbour. It was a very heavy atmosphere that day, as the unchecked fires continued to burn in the Blue Mountains, and the smoke was drifting heavily across Sydney.
The venue was chosen specifically because a few days later Brendan and Hannah were having their engagement party in the beautiful grounds of Breakfast Point in that wonderful community hall next to the cricket ground.
