Craig and Aiva's shared adventures - a Darling Harbour wedding - David Henry

Craig and Aiva’s wedding was different. Good different. They dispensed with the traditional bridal party, and instead, leant more on their families to help with the bridal party roles. Craig is from Canada and Aiva is from Adelaide, so of course their families and friends had big distances to travel. And it was during this wedding that I realised how great a sacrifice it can be for families to let go of their children when love strikes half way round the world.

So they all came together in Sydney and celebrated this couple’s marriage, in style, at l’Aqua at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. There was a beautiful cheese cake, gorgeous flowers all throughout the room, no plate smashing unfortunately (I was looking forward to that!), and the colourful backdrop of the harbour. We hope Craig and Aiva have a wonderful marriage and that Craig, over time becomes a true expert at Greek dancing.
