I caught a fish THIS big with Photoshop

Just placing a few photos here to show you what we can do with photoshop.

We can cheat, lie, enhance, remove, eliminate, destroy and all round have a great time with it.

In the context of what we do, we’re generally trying to satisfy a clients need. It could be to isolate something, to get to the nature of something or to flatter something.

Here’s some recent shots from a couple of corporate shoots.

The website portraits are used to introduce prospective clients to an IT company. Obviously they want to look their best – so the first thing we do is shoot in as flattering a light in as quick as time as possible, always remembering that most people don’t like having photos taken and get more and more nervous the longer somehting goes.

In this case I took twenty minutes or so to set up some lights, did a quick couple of tests and then did each shot within two minutes. Corporates don’t need to waste more time than necessary on a work day!

We all like to look lovely or handsome – to be flattered a bit – so we’ll  reduce wrinkles to some degree, enhance eyes a little and reduce or remove skin blemishes that would probably go in 2 week or less (we try not to change permanent marks if possible).

These photos show the out-of-camera shot and the quick photoshop edits.

The copier photos show the reality of the room we were given to work in and then what we can do in post.

Here’s the copier, the room and the technician getting things ready.

All up this was a 4 hour photoshoot. Take a bunch of shots knowing they’ll be used for different purposes within the company and also outside the company to advertise the new machine.

One of the shots ended up on the cover of an industry magazine.
