“David and Sarah are talking about another wedding album from Queensberry. Are they really that good? Do they really make the best albums in the world?” The answer to those questions are yes and yes. Queensberry albums are exquisite, delicious, wonderful, beautifully handmade and finished, and made to last. They’re created for you and part of your life until they’re handed onto the next generations.
“So if they make the best albums in the world then they must have a best album!? You know a ‘premier’ album? Do they?”
The Musée simply is!
To quote Queensberry, “Musée is French for museum…our goal was to set a new brand standard with Musée, based on exclusivity and museum conservation quality. With Musée we wanted also a feeling of intimacy … of unfolding a precious object to get to the precious memories within. Hence Musée’s embossed wrap-around cover of fine vegetable-tanned European leathers, the French ribbon closure and the Solander Box of Pearl Buckram that encloses and protects it all.”
I’ve said in the past that we’ve tried many albums from different companies and it wasn’t until we started using Queensberry that Sarah and I went “Wow!” Just after we started using them they introduced new products to the album range including their wonderful press books which offered a fantastic coffee table style book. This became their new entry level. And then they introduced Musée. And this was their new top of the line. It looked so stunning on their blog that I knew we needed to get one before too long. I knew we didn’t need to see it in the flesh, or to touch it or smell it (oh yes, luxury goods have their own smell!).
We did end up seeing one in Sydney last year and the promise of the imagery lived up to real life well and truly. So Sarah and I set about deciding which wedding to trial in a full size Musée. With that decision made to use Scott and Chloe’s wedding we started the dialogue with NZ that culminated in a lovely phone call from Queensberry last week. Michelle called to tell me how much they loved the album, the layout and the imagery. That was such a lovely thought from them to take the time. It was a distinct pleasure to know that the album had touched more than Sarah and I. The majority of the work is Sarah’s. Most of the design and all of the retouching genuinely show her skills. The beauty of Musée is all Queensberry and shows their remarkable skills. The photography in the album, and of the album, is mine.
This book is priced at what it’s worth. There’s not a lot of up-selling to the Musée. Adding extra pages to it will increase the price and the invaluable number of memories that will be kept for you, for your children and their children beyond. There are also DVD cases and copy albums available. We lead our wedding price list with a Musée package.
If you simply must have the best then this is your Chanel No. 5, Christian Louboutin, Vera Wang, Louis Vuitton, and Ferrari. It’s the wedding or portrait album equivalent. And funnily enough – it’ll outlive the perfume, car and clothing. Owning a Musée is an investment in family history. It will tell the beginnings of your new life together.
We set our hearts on owning one. It’s here to be seen, touched and shared. Make an appointment to explore Musée with us.
Looking for a good book? We would love to introduce you to a Queensberry…
