Philemon did a bit of planning. A couple of months prior he booked us in to do, what we thought would be, a sweethearts session.
Fiona flew out from the UK for a three-week break. A fortnight in she was asked an important question. Very important. Really important. Life altering stuff. Fiona said, “Yes”. (I assume that it was a one worded answer but it may not have been. It could have been “With the fullness of my heart I consent to be…” etc. etc. or it may have been a non-verbal answer, tears in the eyes, lots of vigorous head nodding, jumping into arms…).
Two days later Philemon pulled another surprise as he drove them down the hill at Taronga for this session. Fiona had asked where they’d be going, “Do I need to dress up?”. Men tend not to think of this stuff. What’s the safe answer anyway? A little bit? A lot? You look beautiful just the way you are?
So for the afternoon we took photos beside this beautiful harbour. Holding hands, running on the beach, kicking water, taking delight in the now, and every so often reaching in for a kiss. Because it must happen. You’re sweethearts. Ingrid Bergman said, “A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.”
Two happy people found “lucky in love”.
