After Peter and Jodie had completed their wedding preparations in Sydney they travelled the short hop south to Mt Keira for their wedding ceremony and then later on in the day they had a Wollongong City Beach wedding reception. Nestled amidst the trees, and the side of the mountain, was a chapel-like natural space. Greenery hung above and around, enveloping the bridal party and the guests completely. A truly beautiful spot.
After the formal family photos, we did some bridal party photography in the immediate surrounds, which were beautiful. It would have been madness not to! The scout camp has a swimming pool with a diving board which just begged to be used for a shot or two (have a look at our Facebook page).
Before leaving for their Wollongong City Beach wedding reception, Peter and Jodie had very much wanted to share their first dance quietly and privately. So Peter pressed play, the music drifted through the canopy, and taking Jodie’s hand they danced in this idyll.
With time enough to do some shots before the reception the Wollongong City Beach made a perfect backdrop. One of our all time favourite shots is standing on the rocks, hands gently clasped behind back, staring out to sea. We saw it back here on screen and described it as a “Wuthering Heights” tribute.
Great speeches, good food and wine, excellent music provided by their friends, dancing and a quick stint on the beach for some night shots wrapped up a very lovely day. Congratulations Peter and Jodie!
