This is “Sydney” yet Marc and Ashleigh’s wedding had the real feel of a country wedding in the best possible way – bushland settings, Subaru’s, lots of turf, acres of sky, propping up fences, and the desperate scurry to remember how to tie ties. It was a wedding to remember at the Hawkesbury Race Club.
And in typical Australian country style the day’s rainfall changed the location of the ceremony to under cover, yet nothing stopped a radiating bride looking beautiful and dancing into the night, with some particularly excellent steps.
Sarah and I have known Marc and Ash for many years. In fact Sarah remembers cuddling Marc many years ago. Is cuddling the right word? (Editorial licence: it might also have said, “holding a baby”). So it was really lovely to be a part of their day, a culmination of watching two people grow in love together and telling the world “I do”.
For the photographers, the last shots were taken when the evening was too dark to see to focus. Shots were done with off cam flash and focus checked afterwards. ISO was kept high, shutter speed was very slow to burn in, what was, the very last remnants of colour in the evening sky late after sunset. Reminder to self – include torch.
Thanks for looking. If you’re taking the plunge into marriage and would love beautiful photo’s like these at the Hawkesbury Race Club, then contact us.
