Love never dies at the Ritz

I was going to title this “Date at the Ritz” but it just felt a bit Roy and HG so I won’t even mention it at all.
The suggestion was made to Matt and Mel that we go somewhere different for images. I used the word “theatre or theatrical” and Matt went to work trying to find a venue.
The Randwick Ritz very kindly allowed us to go in and shoot in the theatre and surrounds. It’s a really lovely place with the most gorgeous, rich colours inside the theatre. But it’s really, really darkly lit so the challenge was to provide lighting enough for Matt and Mel while using a slow enough shutter speed to show ANY of the interior. Checklist – tripod.
After we spent our time in the Ritz we went over the road to a French Patisserie. Ah, the memories. Then time for more shots outside.
We stood out the front of a Catholic Girl’s School. I asked Matt and Mel to kiss. A bunch of school girls nearby noticed and I could hear a general “titter” from them. The excitement of a man in love with a beautiful woman was getting to them…
