Food glorious food – Hung and Julie managed to cover their wedding with all manner of well-thought out details and a part of that was the making and providing of so much home made food!
Hung, being a chef, had collaborated with some of his friends and had made beautiful pre-ceremony food that was just right. It was a real treat for family and friends to enjoy at Balmoral Beach before Hung and Julie swapped their memorable vows.
This was after the large tea ceremony breakfast, that Julie’s family had catered to so lovingly (and “unendingly”), and before all the goodies they’d thought to have at the Canley Vale reception, that Hung and Julie had made and sourced for their lolly bar and sweets areas. I remember Julie saying that I must try the macaroon’s before they ran out. I was too late…
Their wedding was a delight to witness – family prayers and blessings, beautiful dresses, classy suits, great cars, terrific music (two different groups playing and then a DJ who nailed a set), a dance floor that was fun, fun, fun and so much more besides.
We could talk about all the little things that make a wedding enjoyable for all, “but the reason we’re gathered here…” is to witness the love that two people have for each other. Hung and Julie have it in spades. The way they talk about each other. The way they’re so thrilled for each other’s successes and work. To watch them, and to listen to them together, is to see true happiness in action.
That’s it isn’t it!? Their wedding was truly a celebration of the happiness of being in love.
