I’ve known Richard a very long time (and he’s known me even longer) and it was an absolute pleasure to be able to photograph his wedding at Banjo Paterson Cottage to Deborah, on what was, an incredibly happy day.In fact, at our wedding, Richard gave the prayer at our reception for the meal.
Richard’s youngest son is Matthew, not-quite-world-famous-yet for his fantastic video company – Inkster Productions – and his wonderful wedding video work.
Richard, Matthew and I took it on ourselves to plan out the flow of the wedding day the week prior, discussing, amongst the finer details of weddings, the wet weather contingencies (which had to be utilised) and the scope of the photography. And we’re quite pleased with the result (as seen below!). Yes, sometimes men can be trusted with the little details!
On the day of the wedding Deborah and her family paid attention to their own details with hair and makeup, dress prep, accessory-finding-and-fixing continuing until the surprise limo arrived to take them onto Banjo Paterson Cottage at Gladesville.
Everyone was very relaxed right from the word go, and that stayed throughout the day, as happiness, love, tears, humour, laughter, and the blending of families took place.
A stand-up canapé lunch allowed guests to constantly mingle until evening when Deborah and Richard said their goodbyes and headed citywards via Sydney Harbour.
If you’re taking the plunge into marriage and are planning at wedding at Banjo Paterson Cottage and would love beautiful photography then it’s time to talk to Sarah or myself. We take compelling, elegant and timeless stills. We capture the most valuable images in the world. Yours.
