This was a LOT of fun. Mike and Janelle are engaged, living and working in Sydney, but are about to return to the United States, for work, study and a wedding. Before they leave these shores they wanted to take some Sydney pre-wedding photos in their current backyard, and include a few of the obvious features that Sydney is known for.
We started out in the Manly basin (and now, thanks to them, I’ve discovered more great locations) before hopping on the ferry for that lovely ride across to the Quay where we wandered alongside the Cahill expressway to put ourselves a bit higher, into the park next to the Observatory, and underneath the Bridge for that beautiful shot back to the Opera House.
Mike and Janelle were brilliantly adventurous in how they held their bodies as you’ll see below (which is just a gift for a photographer!).
Lots of chat and laughter made for a great afternoon, and then on our return trip on the ferry we watched the night sky light up with one of the bigger storms Sydney has seen this year.
Congratulations on your engagement. We hope the next year of study and planning for your wedding goes really well. Hope we see you back in Australia one day (or California)!
