And here we are at Cataract Dam again, capturing yet another beautiful wedding against the backdrop of this stunning location. We are privileged to have the unique opportunity to shoot two weddings at the same venue within a short time frame. We were determined to make this wedding stand apart from Matt and Paula’s memorable celebration earlier this year.
We pride ourselves on our ability to create unique and personalised weddings, and we believe we succeeded. Looking back at the photographs from the day, we can’t help but admire the beauty and elegance that radiated from Koo, the stunning bride (a cousin of my wife, Sarah). Dave, the groom, infused the day with a lot of laughter. Together they created a wedding of joy and good humour, surrounded by their families and friends.
It was a day that held essentially yet more perfect weather. Queensland isn’t the only state that can boast amazing weather. The bright sunshine, remarkable blue sky, and the Australian bush provided an idyllic backdrop for David and Keturah’s Cataract Dam wedding, resulting in captivating photographs that will be cherished forever. We even found a cave carved out in the sandstone and had some fun in their utilising off-camera flash to create some unique images.
As David and Keturah left the reception, their family and friends gathered in a farewell exit. It was supposed to be a quick run through, but as everyone wanted to reach out for a hug, kiss and words of wisdom it ended up taking quite some time. We captured David’s excitement as he got to the end, ready to climb into the Limo to start their life together.
Being wedding photographers grants us the privilege of capturing Sydney’s diverse landscape and vibrant communities. Each wedding is a unique tapestry of cultures, traditions, and personal stories. We feel incredibly fortunate to witness these moments.
